Twenty past International rugby players from around the globe are coming to Belfast at the start of August 2018 to help local children’s charities.
The weekend is the initiative of the 100 World Legends Project, and plans are in place to make this an annual event.
The weekend is being supported by Bangor Rugby Club, The Royal Belfast Golf Club and The Wellington Park Hotel. All three organisations are behind the 100 World Legends with sponsorship and hosting various part of the weekend
On Thursday 2nd August eight of the players will be involved in a ‘meet the Legends evening’ at the Wellington Park Hotel with proceeds from the evening going to The Belfast Children’s Cancer Unit.
On Friday 3rd August The Royal Belfast Golf have put on a Golf with the Legends day. Three players can have a round of golf in the company of the rugby legends followed by dinner and an evening at the Golf club with the players. The cost for three people is £400. On Saturday 4th August, come along to Bangor rugby club we are holding a rugby legends charity event, this will be an over 35’s rugby tournament, comparable to the Bermuda and Hong Kong classics, to showcase some of the rugby greats of the past, so if your over 35 and you fancy pitting your skills against past legends, you can participate in the Legends Vet Tens tournament, you can enter as a team or guest with one of the other teams, or just come and watch, it will be a great day for all the family.
With money being raised for Clifton School Bangor, and Belfast Childrens cancer unit.

Tony Heffernan of Bangor Rugby Club, said everyone at Bangor rugby club are looking forward to welcoming all our old friends and their families from yester-year to the tournament, were planning a super family day out with a climbing wall, Bbq, and lots of other activities for the whole family to enjoy, as well as seeing all your favourite ex-internationals, so dust off your old boots stock up on Ralgex and Ibuprofen and come along.

There will be an informal cowboy supper from 7pm in the main club house with a Q&A session with the vet internationals afterwards.
The playing cost is £20 per player, the entrance fee Includes a free Burger.

games will be 20 mins, with 10 mins each way, round robin format, with the winners and runners up playing a final.
registration will start at 11.30amm with the first games starting at 12.00 noon .

The 100 World Legends project supports children charities and projects around the world and is organised by over 100 high profile ex international players.
